{Suite} Christchurch Exhibition

{Suite} is pleased to present an exhibition in Christchurch of works by Trevor Moffitt, Wayne Youle, Fiona Pardington, Richard Lewer, Ans Westra, Roger Boyce, Arie Hellendoorn and Daniel Unverricht.
This exhibition is timed to coincide with the opening of Wayne Youle’s major survey exhibition opening at the Christchurch Art Gallery. For {Suite} in Christchurch Wayne has made a new silhouette steel piece and will show prints made during his time as Rita Angus Artist in Residence.
Melbourne based Richard Lewer has contributed several sandpaper works and one painting on steel depicting a Bledisloe battle. Daniel Unverricht’s paintings are nocturnal scenes of urban and suburban spaces, while Arie Hellendoorn’s paintings begin their life as portraits but often end up abstract compositions.
Prints by photographers Fiona Pardington and Ans Westra are being exhibited, as are three paintings by the late Trevor Moffitt. Finally, Roger Boyce, senior painting lecturer at Ilam, University of Canterbury, will have three paintings on show.
Established in 2007 and located in a heritage building on Cuba Street, Wellington, {Suite} is a large street front gallery with store rooms and sculpture yard at rear. Upstairs is the {Suite} museum for Ans Westra, dedicated to celebrating the artist's life time's work and images.
